Am heutigen Abend werden Sie wunderbare sephardische Musik von sephardischen Künstlern aus Istanbul geniessen.
Nun möchte ich meine Rede auf Englisch fortsetzen.
Ladies and gentlemen, Dear Guests,
Good afternoon and welcome to this splendid event of Sephardic Jewish music, presented by the Turkish Consulate General in Frankfurt and hosted at the Jewish Museum. It is a distinct pleasure to have all of you here today, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and harmonious traditions that bind us together.
Today, we embark on a musical journey that traces its roots through centuries of history, a journey that resonates with the melodies of Sephardic Jews who have been calling Türkiye their home for more than 530 years. Sephardic music is a vibrant tapestry, woven from the threads of Jewish, Spanish and Turkish influences, reflecting the unique blend of cultures and traditions that make this region so extraordinary.
As we gather here in this hallowed space, the Frankfurt Jewish Museum, we are reminded of the enduring power of music to transcend boundaries and bring people together. This concert is not just a celebration of notes and rhythms; it is a testament to the enduring spirit of unity, harmony, and cultural exchange.
Today, we also pay tribute to the resilience of the Sephardic Jewish community and their invaluable contributions to Turkish society. Through their music, we are transported to a world where history, faith, and tradition harmonize, proving that diversity is a source of strength and beauty.
I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Turkish Airlines, KUBI, Franken Hotel for their unwavering support in organizing this event and their commitment to fostering cultural understanding and friendship.

Ladies and gentlemen,
This year we are celebrating the centenary of our Republic. Thus, we are organizing this concert as part of our celebrations in and around Frankfurt.
Long live the Turkish Republic!
So, without further ado, let us embark on this musical odyssey, rejoicing in the melodies that bind us, celebrating the shared tapestry of our cultures, and reveling in the beauty of Sephardic Jewish music.
Thank you and enjoy the concert!
